Role Overview

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and supporting Axtroid 3D printers at customer sites across India. You will troubleshoot technical issues, perform preventive maintenance, train customers and work closely with our engineering team to continuously improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical skills, excellent communication and a willingness to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission and configure Axtroid 3D printers at customer sites.
Perform machine setup, calibration and functional testing to ensure equipment operates according to specifications.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software-related issues on 3D printers.
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service activities.
Replace defective components and coordinate spare parts requirements.
Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
Troubleshoot equipment systematically and escalate complex issues to engineering when required.
Validate firmware updates, software improvements and service procedures.
Train customers, teachers, technicians and service partners on the operation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of Axtroid 3D printers.
Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records and customer documentation.
Communicate daily activities, service status and technical findings to the service management team.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company service standards.
Support product demonstrations, installations and customer acceptance testing.
Represent Axtroid professionally while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of service procedures, documentation and best practices.

Required Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics or a related field.
Experience installing, servicing or maintaining industrial equipment, laboratory equipment or automated machinery.
Experience in customer-facing technical support or field service roles.
Experience with 3D printers, CNC machines, robotics, automation equipment or similar electromechanical systems will be an added advantage.
Experience conducting customer training programs is desirable.

Comfortable standing, bending, lifting and working on-site during equipment installation and servicing.

Work Environment

The role is primarily performed at customer locations, including schools, universities, research laboratories, manufacturing facilities and corporate training centres. Engineers may occasionally work in time-sensitive situations during equipment breakdowns or critical installations and must follow all applicable safety procedures.
